Goal

This site was created for Excelloy Industries Inc, a welding rod re-selling company. The owners of the site wanted something simple and to create a online way of accepting orders from their customer's.

The "Cart System" used on the excelloy welding web site is completely customized and was developed from scratch because management at excelloy did not want to inquire the processing fees associated with online billing. The system works as follows:

  1. Each product page of the web site has an
    "Add Item" Button.
  2. When the user clicks "Add Item" the item is added to the Cart.
  3. When someone wants to check out, all they have to do is click the Online Ordering link.
  4. Once the "Online Ordering" form is complete the user submits it and the sales team at Excelloy takes the appropriate action.

No actual money transaction takes place during this whole process because the quantities and monies exchanged are usually large so it is best for a sales representative to contact the buyer.
